About Me
My name is Stefan van der Merwe, and I am a Biokineticist, Karate Instructor, and Coach based in the vibrant city of Windhoek, Namibia.
From a young age, my journey has been guided by a deep-rooted passion for martial arts and exercise. These passions have not only fueled my personal growth but have also become the cornerstone of my professional endeavors.
At the age of 7, I took my first steps into the world of competitive karate, embarking on a journey that now spans over two decades. Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of proudly representing Namibia on numerous international events including the Commonwealth Karate Championships and Africa Games.
After graduating from Stellenbosch University in 2015, I returned to Namibia, where I dedicated myself to using my skills in Biokinetics and Karate to helping individuals achieve their health and fitness goals.

Karate has always been a cornerstone of my life.
Its core values—discipline, hard work, and respect—have profoundly shaped my personal and professional life.
I am currently the lead instructor (Sensei) of the childrens classes at the Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate Namibia Honbu Dojo in Windhoek.
Biokineticist
I’ve always been passionate about sports and exercise, playing various sports since childhood.
After dealing with multiple injuries, I pursued a career in Biokinetics (Exercise Rehabilitation).
In 2019, I founded Trinity Namibia, where I work as a Biokineticist, Conditioning Coach, and Sports Massage Therapist.
Coach
At age 10, I first represented Namibia internationally in karate.
After almost 20 years of competition, I gradually started transitioning into more of a coaching role.
In 2023 I assumed the role of Head Coach of the Namibian National Karate Team.
