Five Karate Specific A3 Workout Posters

Each workout contains 5 bodyweight exercises and is themed after one of the 5 Elements; Water, Wind, Fire, Earth and Aether.

The five elements where chosen represent five specific aspects of karate, namely Blocking, Striking, Kicking, Takedowns and Movement.

Collect and combine the five elements into your weekly workout to strengthen your body and take your martial arts to the next level.

Water

Water is characterized by its ability to adapt, flow and crash.

Like water, blocks respond to external forces by moving and changing their direction.

As water flows and crashes, blocks either redirect or deflect incoming attacks.

Earth

Earth represents stability and balance.

Earth is known for its strength and grounding nature.

Takedowns are a reflection of earth as they require stability, balance and a strong foundation.

Wind

The element of Wind symbolises clarity and self expression.

Like the Wind, your strikes should be invisible, unpredictable and destructive.

Similarly, strikes should flow and come from ever-changing directions.

Fire

Fire acts as a cleanser that burns up toxins and impurities, whilst at the same time generating both heat and light.

All consuming and deadly, FIRE represents a kick.

Like fire, a kick should ignite within seconds and be both powerful and relentless.

Aether

The 5th Element, often referred to as space. This element represents movement.

All other Elements Originate from, and ultimately return to, the Aether

Similarly, All techniques in Karate originate from movement. It forms the foundation of all techniques that follow.
